About Defang
Defang is a cloud deployment platform that simplifies how developers launch and host their applications, with a strong focus on AI and agentic apps. Letting teams deploy to major cloud providers like AWS and Google Cloud in minutes instead of hours.
Project Overview
The goal was to create an explainer video introducing Defang's value proposition.
Purpose: designed for use across their website, sales outreach, and social media.
Target audience: CTOs and founders of agentic AI startups.
Details: 2 minutes animated video in full HD (1920x1080). With realistic AI voiceover narration, minimal background music, and a clean, brand-aligned visual style.
Process
The project followed four phases, each with client review and feedback before moving forward.
Storyboard: Received the script from the client and broke the story into 7 scenes. Brainstormed freely in Figma, exploring visual directions until landing on the right look.
Audio mix: Locked the voiceover and music early in Audition so the animation could sync naturally with the story's rhythm.
Animation: Built each scene in After Effects with layered motion, precise timing, and keyframe adjustments until it felt right.
Sound design: Added finishing details in Premiere, clicks, whooshes, and transitions that make the animation feel polished and complete.
Result
A concise, visually driven explainer that walks viewers from the problem (enterprises don't trust external AI environments) to the solution (deploy once to any cloud with Defang) in a clear narrative arc. The video is ready for use across Defang's website, sales outreach, and social channels.
