Museum Milano
Captivating animated teaser for a work of art
Goals
The main idea was to create a short yet compelling video for a work of art from Museum Milano by artist Isabella Conticello. The animation was designed to visually represent the voiceover narrative and conclude with a frame showcasing the actual painting.
This project was developed as part of the Advanced Motion Methods course by School of Motion. The main challenge was to craft an animation that followed the story while using simple shapes and elements to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. I was provided with the voiceover, music, and artwork, and from there, I built a storyboard to outline my vision for the piece.
Once the animatic matched the rhythm and feel I was aiming for, I moved into After Effects, where I meticulously refined each motion and transition to bring the narrative to life.
Solution
The reception was overwhelmingly positive, and I was genuinely proud of how it turned out. It became one of those rare projects where everything just clicked, the pacing, the design, the emotion. And I found myself truly connecting with the final result.
